The “there is no
one present to do anything” concept is a concept like any other. Once
people start clinging to that “religion”, they are only perpetuating
more concepts. Then they will get into the “suffering and doubt are all
part of the oneness” and “nothing can be done” or whatever spiel they
come up with. They are the losers because they are still running after
some authority figure and hoping for something to happen in the future.
What freedom is there in continuing to run from teacher to teacher
hoping for an “energetic transmission” or other non-sense? On the other
hand, it is quite possible and practical to look into who you are and
resolve the basic misunderstanding. This does not imply or accentuate
the imagined sense of self. In fact, the reverse is the case. The idea
that “there is no one” is certainly a useful concept at some stage. But
just asserting that over and over as a concept will not resolve
seeking, suffering and doubts. Usually the understanding being touted
along these lines is mostly conceptual and intellectual. |
